The Finishing Product | Preliminary Task

Today I started editing the actual video footage we had recorded on Thursday’s media studies lesson. I was able to get the footage because I had saved it on my USB device.

To begin I used Sony Vegas Pro 9.0, to add a fade to the start and end of the footage. Then I used different clips that we recorded, from different perspectives, Then I put the audio of the footage in the correct place matching the voice and movements of the characters. Also I added the beginging of a dub step track to the beginning of our film to give it a modern effect. Also one of the advantages were it was a Free Copyright track.

Lastly I rendered out the film and added the finishing touches in Adobe After Effects CS5. The things I added were a Widescreen border using the rectangular marquee tool and masking it, Colour correction such as Tint's, curves, lighting and photo filter. Then last of all I used a plugin called CC Lens. This plugin gave the footage a kind of embossed effect but I put the opacity really low because if I left it normal it would make the video look over edited.
